A Landmark Day for Educators: 50 Million Tomans and a Golden Handshake for 30,000 Retirees
Financial Boost for Retirees
In a significant move supporting public service retirees, the Government Spokesperson, Fatemeh Mahagerani, has announced the disbursement of 50-million-Toman loans for approximately 30,000 eligible retirees. Furthermore, she highlighted that in the past two weeks, the long-awaited end-of-service bonus for retiring educators has also been paid, marking a major step in fulfilling the government’s commitments to its dedicated workforce.
Broader Economic Initiatives Unveiled
During a live television broadcast, Mahagerani detailed several key government actions aimed at enhancing public services and stabilizing the national economy. A primary achievement was the resolution of the long-standing case concerning the Future Bank, which had previously caused public concern. The Spokesperson assured depositors that their accounts are being seamlessly transferred to the National Bank, a measure intended to bolster public confidence in the banking system.
Addressing core economic challenges, Mahagerani explained that banking imbalances are a key driver of inflation. To counter this and support the productive sector, the Ministry of Economy has launched the “Financing System for Production Enterprises.” This innovative platform allows production contracts themselves to be used as collateral, facilitating access to working capital for manufacturers and making the banking system more efficient and cost-effective.
Progress in Industry and Environment
The report also shed light on positive developments within the domestic appliance industry, which has seen a 10% growth in the past six months. Mahagerani emphasized the increased “production depth,” with most necessary components now being sourced domestically. This industrial growth has also spurred job creation, with former illegal importers in border cities establishing local manufacturing plants. Notably, exports from this sector grew by 4.5% despite challenges in energy supply.
On the environmental front, the government is actively working to minimize gas flaring, a process that causes pollution and energy waste. Efforts have already succeeded in capturing and reintroducing 11 million cubic meters of flare gas back into the production chain.
Strategic Development and Market Regulation
Highlighting regional development, the Spokesperson pointed to the untapped potential of South Khorasan province, where seven mined products have been registered with the UN’s World Intellectual Property Organization. This registration is designed to help miners leverage the export value of these resources, aligning economic growth with strategic provincial development.
Concluding her address, Mahagerani reaffirmed the President’s focus on managing and organizing the market. Regular meetings of the Market Regulation Headquarters are being held to control price hikes and profiteering, alongside implementing policies aimed at directly improving the livelihood of the people.
