Title: Esteghlal Strengthens Lead in Persian Gulf Pro League Following Disciplinary Committee Ruling
Tehran – In a decisive move, the Football Federation’s Disciplinary Committee has issued its final verdict concerning an unplayed match from the second week of the Women’s Futsal Premier League, a ruling that has significant implications for the league standings.
A Forfeit and a Fine
The committee determined that the match between Mes Rafsanjan and Esteghlal of Tehran, which failed to take place, will be recorded as a 3-0 victory for Esteghlal. This decision was made due to the inability of the Mes Rafsanjan club to be prepared for the scheduled fixture.
Further to the awarded points, the Disciplinary Committee also levied a financial penalty against Mes Rafsanjan. The club was fined 500 million Rials for its failure to provide the necessary conditions for the match to proceed. This ruling brings a conclusive end to the case within the committee.
Solidifying a Strong Start
The additional three points from this verdict have served to fortify Esteghlal’s impressive position in the early stages of the new season. Having joined the league as a newly promoted team, Esteghlal had already captured the top spot on the table after the first four weeks. This ruling now strengthens their lead, marking a powerful and authoritative start to their campaign in the Persian Gulf Pro League.
