Title: Pension Payment Updates: Final Adjustments and Service Enhancements Announced
Article:
Pension Adjustments Nearing Completion
The process of reconciling pension payments for the current Iranian year is in its final stages. Payments for retirees with specific identification codes are ongoing, while the remaining adjustments for a select group of high-income pensioners have been rescheduled for completion next week.
Supplementary Payment for Eligible Pensioners
A significant development is the disbursement of a supplementary payment for a specific group of retirees. Alongside their regular monthly pension, these individuals will receive an adjustment bonus for a previous month. This additional payment, estimated to be between 4 to 5 million Tomans, will provide a substantial increase to their income for this period.
Payment Status and Outstanding Balances
Authorities at the Social Security Organization have reported significant progress. They confirmed that outstanding payments for pensioners who use banks other than Bank Refah have been fully settled. Furthermore, approximately 20 percent of the payments for those using Bank Refah have already been processed.
Reports indicate that survivors, individuals with disabilities, and pensioners receiving less than 20 million Tomans have had their outstanding balances completely cleared. Daily payments continue for other eligible individuals, with the entire reconciliation process expected to conclude in the coming week. With the completion of this phase, the pension adjustment process for the year will be finalized, ensuring all obligations are met.
Service Enhancement and Administrative Oversight
In parallel with these financial disbursements, the Social Security Organization is emphasizing service quality and administrative efficiency.
- Focus on Gilan Province: Keyvan Mortezaei, the General Director of Social Security in Gilan, recently visited the Talesh branch. During this supervisory visit, he stressed the importance of streamlining processes, honoring the insured, and accelerating service delivery. Mortezaei highlighted that pensioners, employers, and the insured are key social partners of the organization and their concerns are a primary focus.
- Operational Scale in Talesh: The local director reported that the Talesh branch serves a substantial community, with over 48,000 people in the county under its coverage. The branch manages a portfolio of 8,500 insured individuals and provides pensions to more than 6,300 retirees. The financial commitment is significant, with monthly obligations exceeding 85 billion Tomans.
National Recognition for Alborz Province
In a separate announcement, the Social Security Organization of Alborz Province has been recognized for its exemplary performance. Davoud Sa’adzadeh, the General Director, announced that Alborz secured the third-highest national ranking in the country-wide performance evaluation of provincial social security departments for the last quarter.
This assessment, based on a rigorous 100-point scale across nine specialized domains—including revenue collection, long-term liability management, and the enhancement of digital services—saw Alborz achieve an impressive score of 96.04. This achievement underscores the province’s commitment to implementing cohesive programs and maintaining continuous field supervision to serve its vast network of over 1.8 million insured individuals through its extensive network of branches and agencies.
