Fifth Subsidy Payment Set for November: Enhanced Support and Full Schedule Announced
Imminent Rollout with Increased Value
The fifth phase of Iran’s electronic commodity subsidy is set for distribution, featuring a significant increase in value compared to previous rounds. According to reports, the disbursement for income deciles 1 through 7 is expected to commence on October 27, 2025, a date that coincides with the auspicious occasion of the birth of Hazrat Zainab (SA).
Detailed Payment Schedule Unveiled
A key focus is the specific timeline for the fifth subsidy payment. It is anticipated that transfers for deciles 1 to 3 will begin on the initial date of October 27. Meanwhile, households in deciles 4 through 7 are projected to receive their allocations during the middle or latter part of the Iranian month of Aban (late October to late November). This structured approach aims to ensure an orderly and efficient distribution process.
Policy Focus: Targeted Support and Inflation Mitigation
The government’s program to enhance the subsidy credit is framed within a broader political and economic strategy. The core objectives are to provide financial support for lower-income households, help them counter inflationary pressures, and manage subsidy resources more effectively. This initiative is designed to empower vulnerable segments of society by facilitating their access to essential goods, thereby alleviating part of the burden from rising prices.
A pivotal aspect of this policy is the reallocation of resources. The funds resulting from the removal of cash subsidies for higher-income deciles (8 to 10) are being channeled to facilitate greater support for lower-income families in this fifth phase.
Substantial Boost for Lowest-Income Families
In a significant development, the subsidy amount for deciles 1 to 3 will no longer be capped at a previous level and is slated for a substantial increase. Reports confirm that this enhancement is definite for these priority deciles. While information regarding a similar increase for deciles 4 to 7 has not yet been officially released, the confirmed boost for the most vulnerable households underscores the program’s targeted welfare focus. Furthermore, new items are being added to the electronic commodity basket, with a particular emphasis on benefiting deciles 1 to 3.
