Title: Social Security Announces Timetable for Settling Retirees’ Outstanding Payments
In a significant development for the nation’s pensioners, the Social Security Organization has provided a clear and expedited schedule for the settlement of all remaining overdue payments.
A Clear Path to Resolution
Following extensive internal follow-ups, a senior Social Security official has confirmed that the process to clear the outstanding balances for retirees and pensioners is now firmly on track. The announcement brings clarity and assurance to millions who rely on these payments.
Substantial Progress Already Made
Detailing the steps already taken, Mohammad Zare Chahoki, the General Director of Social Security in Yazd Province, emphasized that the organization has successfully addressed the arrears for the majority of beneficiaries.
“The difference for the month of Farvardin (March-April) was the only remaining amount for retirees and pensioners,” Chahoki stated. “We fully paid this amount to minimum-wage earners on the 12th of Shahrivar (early September). Furthermore, the overdue payments for survivors were also deposited along with their Shahrivar monthly pensions.”
Final Phase Targets Higher-Income Pensioners
The official clarified that the only remaining arrears belong to a specific group: pensioners with a monthly income exceeding 20 million tomans, who constitute approximately 30 percent of all beneficiaries. A significant portion of this group, those whose names fall within the first letters of the alphabet, have already received their payments between the 21st of Mehr (mid-October) and the end of the month.
Completion Set for Mid-Aban
Providing a definitive deadline, the official confirmed that the necessary funding for the remaining payments has been secured. “The rest of the overdue payments will be settled next week,” Chahoki announced. “We are hopeful that all remaining arrears will be fully resolved by the middle of the month of Aban (early November).” This final step will mark the complete settlement of this cycle of outstanding payments.
