Title: SATA Directs Comprehensive Review of Specialized Military Pension Calculations
In response to concerns raised by retired members of the armed forces regarding their pensions, particularly those with specialized skills, the Managing Director of SATA (Social Security Organization for the Armed Forces) has issued a directive for a comprehensive review and reform of their benefits.
Addressing Specialist Pension Calculations
According to Amir Rahbar, an activist in the retirement sector, a recent meeting was held between the SATA Managing Director and representatives of retired military personnel. The meeting focused on reassessing the pension calculations for retirees with specialized expertise in areas such as aviation, technical fields, air defense, and radar systems. The directive has been formally communicated to relevant units to ensure greater accuracy in calculating pensions for these specialized forces.
Rahbar emphasized that while military pensions are typically calculated based on an individual’s final rank and position, specific professional specializations had not been fully factored into the equation for certain groups. This oversight had become a point of discussion.
Coordinated Efforts for a Resolution
Amir Rahbar further reported that, following these discussions, the SATA Managing Director has ordered the necessary coordination with the General Staff of the Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defense. The objective of these coordinated efforts is to revise the pension slips and update payment structures to properly reflect the unique skills and professional characteristics of these specialized retirees.
This initiative underscores the administration’s attentive approach to the concerns of its specialized retired personnel and represents a step towards ensuring their service and expertise are accurately acknowledged within the pension system.
