Title: New Directive Paves Way for Enhanced Pension Benefits for Specialized Military Retirees
A Move to Address Specialized Service
In a significant development for Iran’s armed forces retirees, a new directive has been issued to re-evaluate the pension benefits for personnel from specialized technical units. The order, confirmed following a meeting between retiree representatives and the managing director of the Armed Forces Social Welfare Organization (SATA), focuses on retirees from aviation, technical, air defense, and radar divisions.
Focus on Technical Expertise
Amir Rahbar, an official with the Armed Forces Pension Fund, elaborated on the new measures. He stated that while military pensions are generally calculated based on rank and final position, the unique contributions and specialized skills of personnel in these critical technical fields warranted a fresh review. The directive from SATA’s managing director mandates necessary coordination with the General Staff of the Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defense to resolve the issue and update the payment slips for the affected retirees.
This initiative underscores the ongoing institutional attention to the welfare of those who have served in specialized and vital roles within the nation’s defense apparatus.
