Government Announces Completion of Key Pension Payments
In a significant development regarding pension entitlements, officials have confirmed the near-completion of payments for outstanding adjustments. Following extensive follow-up procedures, the government has successfully disbursed the majority of the remaining dues to retirees and pensioners.
According to Mohammad Zareh Chahouki in a statement to reporters, the payment adjustments for the Persian month of Farvardin 1404 have been fully settled for minimum-wage earners as of September 3. Furthermore, outstanding payments for beneficiaries have been transferred concurrently with their September pensions.
Focus on Finalizing Payments for Higher Income Brackets
The official clarified that the only remaining adjustments pertain to a specific group of pensioners—those with monthly incomes exceeding 20 million tomans. This demographic is reported to constitute approximately 30 percent of all pension recipients.
Clear Schedule for Remaining Settlements
Providing a definitive timeline, Chahouki detailed that a segment of the outstanding payments for this group, covering individuals from the letters “Alef” to “Jim,” was processed between October 13 and the end of that month.
He further assured that the remaining adjustments are scheduled for resolution imminently. “With the necessary funding secured, the rest of the outstanding payments will be disbursed next week,” Chahouki stated. He expressed confidence that all remaining settlements would be finalized by the first half of the Persian month of Aban (concluding around November 11, 2024).
This announcement confirms the administration’s ongoing commitment to resolving financial entitlements for its retired community, with a clear and public schedule now established for the final phase of payments.
