Rewritten Title: Isfahan Judiciary Outlines Comprehensive Approach to Upholding Societal Values
Article:
In a significant address to provincial officials, the head of the Isfahan Judiciary detailed a dual-track strategy focused on reinforcing public adherence to national laws on societal values, with a particular emphasis on modesty and hijab.
A Dual Strategy: Cultural Guidance and Legal Duty
The senior judicial official, Hojjatoleslam wal-Muslimein Asadollah Jafari, speaking at the third meeting of the Provincial Crime Prevention Council, underscored the critical need for comprehensive cultural and educational initiatives. He articulated a clear policy that prioritizes guidance and corrective measures, positioning cultural and educational institutions at the forefront of this effort.
“The primary focus must be a reformative and advisory approach to correct behavior,” Jafari stated, emphasizing that the first line of action is to guide citizens through persuasion and education.
Firm Action Against Willful Law-Breaking
However, the official made a clear distinction for those who persistently violate the law. He asserted that individuals who engage in blatant norm-breaking behavior are committing a “manifest crime.” In such cases, he directed judicial law enforcement officers to perform their legal duty without excess or negligence.
“For those who insist on breaking the law, judicial officers must act upon their legal obligations and introduce these law-breakers to the judiciary,” Jafari said. He confirmed that the Isfahan Judiciary has repeatedly announced the readiness of its special court branches to process cases formed on this matter.
A Universal Legal Obligation
Broadening the scope of responsibility, the judiciary chief clarified that the relevant laws are not limited to individuals. He stressed that public centers, including service providers, medical facilities, and especially government offices, are legally bound to comply.
“Sufficient and necessary laws exist for the protection of public values,” Jafari remarked. “This issue is not exclusive to individuals.”
Accountability for Government Bodies
The address concluded with a strong message of accountability for all executive bodies and public institutions. Jafari reminded attendees that officials and organizations have specific legal duties in this domain. Should any negligence or dereliction of duty be observed, they will be held accountable by the judicial system for their inaction.
