Born in Tehran on November 10, 1971, Nikki Karimi’s artistic journey began in her elementary school years with participation in theater groups. Her early brilliance in the 1980s paved the way for further development, including a period of study in fashion design in the United States. Ultimately, she returned to Iran, where her career truly flourished in the 1990s. She starred in several significant films, earning multiple nominations and winning the prestigious Crystal Simorgh award at the Fajr Film Festival.
Karimi first gained widespread recognition with her role in the 1989 film “Vasvaseh” (Temptation). Her status was quickly cemented with a part in one of the most-watched films of the decade, opposite renowned actor Abolfazl Pourarab.
