Title: New Fuel Quota System Announced: Streamlined Distribution and Personal Card Usage Encouraged
In a recent interview with Hamoun Salehi, Chairman of the Board of the National Association of Fuel Station Owners, key details regarding the ongoing fuel distribution system were clarified. The discussion highlighted the current mechanisms and future outlook for fuel management, emphasizing efficiency and public convenience.
Current System and Operational Limits
To ensure organized distribution, all fuel stations across the country have been equipped with emergency fuel cards. However, operational limits are in place to streamline the process. In Tehran Province, for instance, each station’s card is currently restricted to 255 transactions per day, with a set quota of 8,000 liters. This structured approach is designed to manage fuel allocation effectively and prevent disruptions in supply.
Encouraging Personal Card Use
Addressing public inquiries, it was confirmed that there are no plans to withdraw the existing emergency station cards. Instead, the recent reduction in the number of these cards is part of a strategic initiative to encourage citizens to transition towards using their personal fuel cards. This shift aims to enhance the efficiency of the distribution network and provide a more seamless experience for consumers.
Future Outlook on Fuel Pricing
Looking ahead, Salehi offered a perspective on the stability of current fuel pricing, suggesting that the existing conditions for petroleum product prices are not expected to continue into the next Iranian year (1405). This indicates ongoing evaluations to align national resource management with broader economic goals.
