Title: Postponement of Persepolis vs. Tractor Match: New Schedule Awaits Cup Draw
A Highly Anticipated Match Postponed
A key fixture in Iran’s Premier League between Persepolis and Tractor has been officially postponed. The match, which was originally scheduled for today, was called off following a formal request from the Tractor club. This rescheduling is intended to provide the Tabriz-based team with additional preparation time for their upcoming match against Nasaf Qarshi of Uzbekistan.
Official Statement on Rescheduling
Mr. Roshanak, the Head of the Competition Committee, has provided clarity on the situation. He confirmed that the schedule for this and other postponed matches will be finalized following the ongoing Hazfi Cup matches. “Immediately after this round of the cup, which is being held today and tomorrow, we will conduct the draw,” Roshanak stated. “Based on that, the schedule for the remaining first-half matches and the postponed Persepolis vs. Tractor game will be announced.”
Commitment to the League Schedule
Emphasizing the league’s structured timeline, the official assured that all matches will be completed within the first half of the season. He noted that while match postponements are sometimes necessary, they do not ultimately benefit any single team. “If a team’s match is postponed, it is not an advantage for them, as teams will have to play with a more congested fixture list,” Roshanak explained. The complete and official program for the remainder of the first half of the season is expected to be announced next week.
