Tehran Governor Announces New Solar Panel Subsidy Initiative
Tehran, Iran – In a move to promote sustainable energy solutions, the Governor of Tehran, Mohammad Sadegh Motamedian, has announced the official launch of a new public subsidy program for the installation of solar panels.
Streamlined Process for Citizens
During a statement, Motamedian confirmed that the application process for low-interest loans is now open to the public. He emphasized the efficiency of the new system, noting that site inspections will be conducted within a maximum of 10 days after registration, with the financial facilities being granted promptly thereafter.
Substantial Financial Support
The initiative offers significant financial incentives to participants. According to the announcement, subsidies will be provided at a rate of 40 million Tomans per kilowatt of installed capacity. The program features an upper limit of 300 million Tomans in total financial facilities for eligible applicants, representing a substantial investment in the adoption of renewable energy sources for households and businesses.
This program is positioned as a key step in the country’s broader strategy to diversify its energy portfolio and encourage public participation in green initiatives.
