Enhanced Insurance Coverage Finalized for Social Security Pensioners
Agreement Reached on New Contract
Following successful negotiations between the selected insurance company and the High Council of Social Security Retirees and Pensioners, a new contract for the supplementary insurance of retirees and pensioners has been finalized and officially signed. This development marks a significant step in the ongoing efforts to bolster the welfare infrastructure for a key segment of society.
Expanded Services and Improved Coverage
The newly ratified insurance package represents a substantial upgrade, offering a significant increase in services, coverage levels, and cost compensation compared to the previous year’s agreement. This enhancement directly addresses the healthcare needs of pensioners, providing them with greater financial security and access to medical services.
Financial Structure of the Package
In a move characterized by a focus on quality, rationality, and fairness, the standard supplementary insurance package for this year has been set at 720,000 Tomans. The Social Security Organization will contribute 250,000 Tomans towards this cost, with the remaining 470,000 Tomans to be deducted from the retirees’ monthly pensions. This cost-sharing model demonstrates a collaborative approach to securing enhanced benefits.
Contract Validity and Retroactive Coverage
The new insurance contract is effective from Azar 23, 2024, and will remain valid until the end of Aban 1405. In a key provision, the agreement also offers retroactive coverage. Individuals who have received medical services in recent days can have their associated costs reimbursed by submitting the required documentation to the insurance company.
