Exclusive: Martyr Shadmani’s Emotional Exchange with the Leader After Israeli Attack – A Story of Sacrifice and Devotion
A Soldier’s Highest Honor
For a military officer, few honors surpass receiving a promotion from the Commander-in-Chief, Ayatollah Khamenei. Such recognition signifies exceptional service to Islam and the nation, marking a soldier’s valor and dedication. Yet, for Martyr Ali Shadmani, his final promotion carried profound emotion—a mix of pride and sorrow, as he mourned fallen comrades just one day after Israel’s attack on Iranian soil.
On June 13, Shadmani was awarded the rank of Major General, a day after the martyrdom of Commander Gholamali Rashid, head of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters. With unwavering resolve, Shadmani stepped forward to uphold his fallen brother’s legacy.
A Bond Forged in Faith and Struggle
The following is an excerpt from Shadmani’s heartfelt conversation with the Leader during his promotion—a testament to decades of sacrifice and loyalty.
The Leader: “In Hamid Hessam’s book about Hamadan, your name appears alongside Martyr Hassan Tork. I recognized you there.”
Martyr Shadmani: “Yes, Hassan Tork was my commander. We served in the Imam Mahdi (AJ) Mobilization Brigade, and later, he joined Martyr Hamadani’s Ansar Brigade before being martyred in Faw. When I arrived, he had already given his life. From the beginning, we stood together—Shahid Chit-Sazian, Shahid Tork, and Shahid Salegi—defending our land.”
The Leader: “May God elevate their ranks.”
Martyr Shadmani: “For 23 years in the General Staff and Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters, my sole mission was fulfilling your orders, working alongside Major General Bagheri and Major General Rashid.”
A Prayer for Martyrdom
As the Leader bestowed the rank, Shadmani’s humility and devotion shone through.
Martyr Shadmani: “Pray for me.” (Promotion to Major General is conferred.)
The Leader: “May it be blessed.”
Martyr Shadmani: “Allahu Akbar! My life is sacrificed for the Leader.”
The Leader: “May God protect you.”
Before his final mission, Shadmani sought divine guidance, opening the Quran to Surah Al-Imran, Verse 195: “If you respond to God’s call, leave your homes, endure hardship, and fight the enemy, God promises you Paradise.”
Martyr Shadmani: “Pray that I may be worthy of martyrdom.”
The Leader: “Verse 195… May you be successful and divinely supported. Farewell—may God keep you safe.”
A Legacy of Unwavering Commitment
Ten days after this exchange, on June 24, Martyr Shadmani gave his life in service to Iran, his blood sanctifying the land he defended for decades. His story remains a beacon of faith, resilience, and unshakable loyalty to the Islamic Republic and its leadership.
“If we are called, we answer—without hesitation, without fear.”
