In a significant step towards normalizing the country’s communication landscape, Iranian authorities have announced a structured, phased roadmap for the full restoration of internet and messaging services. Following the successful reactivation of SMS services last night, the focus has now shifted to expanding connectivity across domestic digital platforms, signaling a return to operational stability.
Strengthening the Domestic Digital Ecosystem
According to informed sources cited by Tasnim News Agency, the initial phase of this restoration prioritizes trust and authenticity. While activity was previously limited to official media outlets, the network is now opening up to verified channels—those holding a “Blue Tick”—on prominent domestic platforms such as Bale, Rubika, Soroush Plus, and iGap.
This measure allows authenticated businesses and content creators to resume their operations immediately. Furthermore, officials have clarified that channels and businesses currently lacking the Blue Tick can initiate the verification process to rejoin the digital sphere, ensuring a secure and regulated environment for commerce and information exchange.
Roadmap to Full Connectivity
Looking ahead, the restoration plan includes the imminent return of interpersonal communication features. Technical teams are currently finalizing infrastructure updates—specifically cited for the Eitaa platform—to support the resumption of personal chats and group activities. This “step-by-step” approach underscores a commitment to rebuilding a secure and robust digital infrastructure for the public.
