Iran’s Internet Normalization Expected by Weekend, Presidential Deputy States
Official Announcement on Internet Restoration
Afshin, the Scientific Deputy of the President, has announced that Iran’s internet network is progressively returning to its normal state, with full restoration anticipated by the end of the week. This development signals a crucial step towards lifting existing network limitations and ensuring comprehensive digital access across the nation.
Phased Return and Lifting of Limitations
According to statements reported by Asr Iran, quoting the Presidential Deputy, the process of internet normalization is already underway. “The country’s internet network is gradually returning to normal, and existing restrictions will be lifted soon,” Afshin stated, indicating a phased approach to full service resumption across the country.
Prioritizing Economic Stability
Highlighting the government’s proactive measures, it was noted that provisions had previously been established to support major enterprises. During periods of network adjustments, internet services were provided to large companies via fixed IP addresses. This strategic move was designed to prevent disruptions to their operational cycles and maintain economic continuity.
Strategic Vision for Digital Economy Growth
The Presidential Deputy further underscored the government’s comprehensive vision for digital economic development. He emphasized that merely connecting businesses to the network is insufficient for sustained growth. “The continuation of these businesses’ activities requires users and customers to have access to the internet,” Afshin explained, reiterating the critical importance of widespread public internet access for a thriving digital economy. This perspective positions the current normalization efforts as integral to supporting the nation’s broader digital economic objectives.
