Iranian Women’s Seminaries Condemn Desecration, Blame Foreign Hands for National Turmoil
TEHRAN – Iran’s Management Center of Women’s Seminaries has issued a forceful statement condemning recent acts of desecration against the Holy Quran, sacred sites, and the national flag, asserting that foreign adversaries are exploiting legitimate public grievances to incite unrest and undermine national stability. The seminaries’ leadership expressed profound sorrow and indignation, attributing the turmoil to external meddling.
A Strong Denunciation of Desecration
In a powerful declaration, the women’s seminaries unequivocally denounced the actions of what they described as “savage American-Zionist saboteurs,” whom they stated bear no connection to Iranian identity. The statement highlighted the burning of the Holy Quran, the desecration of holy shrines, mosques, and the national flag, alongside the “inhumane and violent treatment” of Iran’s “brave security guardians.” Drawing upon the Quranic verse, “They wish to extinguish God’s light with their mouths, but God will perfect His light, though the disbelievers dislike it” (Surah Saff; Verse 8), the seminaries emphasized the divine perseverance of Islamic values.
Allegations of Foreign Interference and Exploitation
The statement pointed an accusatory finger at “the wicked hands of world-devouring America and child-killing Zionism,” holding them responsible for the “bitter events” and bloodshed affecting the Iranian populace. It specifically referenced “arrogant Trump,” asserting that despite his “ignominious defeat” in a previous conflict, his aim to transgress against Iran’s “free, resistant, insightful, and proud nation” led him to exploit “legitimate protests by various segments of the people regarding the dire economic situation.” They further accused “traitors and mercenaries,” along with “royalist homeland-sellers,” of being hired by these external forces to instigate riots, insecurity, and destroy public and private property.
Resilience and Commitment to Revolutionary Ideals
Defying attempts by “evil mercenaries” to suppress divine light through the burning of mosques and the Holy Quran, the statement reaffirmed belief in God’s will for the “pure tree” of faith to remain steadfast. Students, teachers, and staff of women’s seminaries across the country, drawing strength from “four decades of the Islamic Revolution’s experience,” declared their unwavering commitment. They vowed that such “desperate movements” by Iran’s “sworn enemies” would not deter the Islamic system from “powerfully pursuing its religious ideals and values.”
The seminaries reiterated their steadfast loyalty to the Islamic system and its leadership, asserting their vigilant monitoring of enemy movements under the guidance of the “Leader of Muslims worldwide.” While acknowledging and demanding attention to rightful economic and social concerns, they affirmed their profound adherence to the ideals of “Imam and martyrs” and expressed confidence in the eventual realization of divine victory, quoting the Quran: “God will surely help those who help Him; indeed, God is Mighty, All-Powerful” (Surah Hajj; Verse 40).
A Call for National Unity and Vigilance
Concluding with an expression of sympathy for affected families, the Management Center of Women’s Seminaries urged the Iranian nation, particularly its “enlightened and martyr-nurturing women,” to maintain their revolutionary spirit, political vigilance, and steadfast obedience to the directives of the Supreme Leader. This, they stated, is crucial in continuing to defend the “honor and power of Islamic Iran” against all adversaries. The statement closed with a warning from the Quran: “And those who have wronged will come to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned” (Surah Ash-Shu’ara; Verse 227).
