Title: August Subsidy Payments: Key Details on Cash Transfers for Eligible Households
Subsidy Payments for August: What You Need to Know
In August 2024, only the standard cash subsidy will be deposited into the accounts of eligible household heads, with no new phase of the electronic goods coupon program being implemented. This follows the distribution of the third phase of the coupon program in July, where low-income households (deciles 1–3) received 500,000 tomans and middle-income households (deciles 4–7) received 350,000 tomans for essential goods.
According to the Targeted Subsidies Organization, cash subsidies for August will be distributed as follows:
- Deciles 1–3: 400,000 tomans per person, deposited on August 25.
- Deciles 4–9: 300,000 tomans per person, deposited on August 31.
Unlike July—where combined cash subsidies and coupon benefits reached up to 900,000 tomans for lower-income groups—August payments will revert to the fixed subsidy amounts unchanged since May 2022.
Payment Breakdown by Household Size
Deciles 1–3:
- 2-person households: 800,000 tomans
- 3-person households: 1.2 million tomans
- 4-person households: 1.6 million tomans
- 5-person households: 2 million tomans
Deciles 4–9:
- 2-person households: 600,000 tomans
- 3-person households: 900,000 tomans
- 4-person households: 1.2 million tomans
- 5-person households: 1.5 million tomans
Parliament’s Redistribution Plan
While parliament has approved reallocating subsidies from deciles 8–9 to deciles 1–3, implementation is delayed until late September. August payments will proceed without changes.
