Title: Social Security Retirees Await Overdue Payments: Key Updates on Delayed Salaries
Retirees Face Continued Delays in Overdue Payments
Social Security retirees in Iran have been waiting for five months to receive their overdue salaries from Farvardin (March-April). Despite the issuance of August pay slips, the backlog remains unpaid, increasing financial pressure on retirees. Authorities had repeatedly promised to settle the arrears alongside August salaries, but so far, no payments have been made.
When Will the Overdue Salaries Be Paid?
Ali Akbar Eyvazi, a board member of the Tehran Retirees Association, stressed the urgency of timely payments, stating: “August salaries will be paid by the end of the month as scheduled, but there is still no update on the overdue payments from Farvardin.”
He noted that the Social Security Organization appears to be working toward resolving the issue, adding: “Retirees have been waiting for five months. We hope efforts succeed, and the overdue payments are settled by the end of August.”
August Salary Payment Schedule
In recent months, the payment date for Social Security retirees has shifted from the 20th to the final days of the month. Accordingly, August salaries will be deposited between 29-31 Mordad (August 20-22).
This update highlights the ongoing efforts to address retirees’ financial concerns while maintaining transparency on payment timelines. Further developments are expected in the coming days.
