Tax Amnesty Deadline Today: Final Opportunity for Spring VAT Settlements
In a significant administrative move, the Iranian National Tax Administration has announced that today, Tuesday, marks the absolute final deadline for eligible taxpayers to benefit from a complete waiver of penalties associated with the Spring 1404 Value-Added Tax (VAT) return.
Extended Deadline Concludes
The deadline for completing, amending, and submitting the VAT tax return for the Spring 1404 fiscal period had been officially extended by legal authorities. This extension, granted under the provisions of the Law to Facilitate Taxpayers’ Obligations, was specifically designed to support the implementation of new regulatory systems. That extended grace period concludes at the close of business today, August 28, 1404.
Full Penalty Waiver for Timely Compliance
The tax authority has clarified the substantial benefit of complying with this deadline. Taxpayers who successfully submit their Spring 1404 VAT return through the designated online taxpayer system by the end of today will receive a 100% pardon on the penalties typically incurred for delayed tax payments. This full amnesty applies to the fines stipulated in Article (37) of the Value-Added Tax Law for the specific return in question.
This measure underscores ongoing efforts to streamline tax compliance and encourage voluntary adherence to fiscal regulations within the established legal framework.
