Heavy Traffic Reported on Key Alborz Highways: Travel Advisory Issued
Travel Disruptions on Haraz and Kandovan Routes
ALBORZ PROVINCE – Significant traffic congestion has been reported on two of the province’s major thoroughfares, the Haraz and Kandovan highways. According to Ali Sadeghi, a traffic official speaking to Mehr News Agency, delays are expected for south-to-northbound travelers.
On the Kandovan route, heavy traffic has been observed in certain sections, particularly around the Zangoleh Bridge. Motorists are strongly advised to exercise increased caution while navigating this area.
Semi-Heavy Congestion on Haraz Highway
The Haraz highway is also experiencing disruptions. South-to-north traffic is described as semi-heavy in several key areas, including Bolur, Manzarieh, Vana, and Bajan. Drivers should anticipate potential slowdowns and plan their journeys accordingly.
Favorable Weather Conditions
Despite the traffic build-up, officials have confirmed that no adverse weather conditions are currently affecting the highways in the province. The delays are attributed to high travel volume. Authorities have assured that with the observance of standard safety precautions, motorists can continue their travels.
Official Recommendations for Motorists
To help alleviate congestion, officials are urging drivers to avoid stopping on road shoulders. Furthermore, the use of alternative routes is highly recommended where possible to prevent further traffic complications.
The traffic restrictions, which began on Wednesday, are scheduled to remain in effect until Monday morning. Notably, the Kandovan road will become one-way starting this afternoon. Travelers are encouraged to stay informed on the latest traffic updates before commencing their journeys.
