Persepolis FC Issues Formal Clarification on Player Transfer Following Media Commentary
In a detailed official statement, Persepolis Football Club has addressed recent inquiries regarding the transfer of player Mojtaba Fakhrian from Shams Azar Qazvin FC. The club’s spokesperson, Mostafa Lashkari, provided a point-by-point clarification to ensure full transparency on the matter.
Adherence to Regulatory Protocol
The club emphasized its strict compliance with all regulatory procedures. Lashkari stated that Persepolis first submitted a formal written inquiry to the Iranian Football League Organization to confirm the contractual status of Mojtaba Fakhrian with his previous club.
“When we did not receive a response from the League Organization,” Lashkari explained, “we proceeded to formally contact the Qazvin Provincial Football Association. Their official documentation, dated June 1, 2024, confirmed that Mr. Fakhrian’s contract was duly registered with them.”
Securing the Transfer Legally
Following the established protocols and upon receiving the necessary documentation from the provincial body, Persepolis FC acted to finalize the transfer legally. “Based on the information provided by the Qazvin Football Association and the lack of a contradictory response from the central league body, the club processed the payment for the transfer agreement to secure the player’s services,” the spokesperson added.
Safeguarding Club Interests
Demonstrating prudent management, Persepolis included a specific protective clause in its agreement with Shams Azar Qazvin FC. Clause 7 of the agreement stipulates that should it be definitively proven that Shams Azar Qazvin FC held a valid, league-registered contract with the player for future seasons at the time of his signing with Persepolis, the received transfer fee must be fully reimbursed to Persepolis.
This move underscores the club’s commitment to operating within the framework of national football regulations while proactively protecting its institutional interests.
