Iran Denounces Misinformation, Highlights Humanitarian Stance
Deputy Security and Law Enforcement Governor of Khorasan Razavi Province, Amir Allah Shamqadri, emphasized Iran’s longstanding respect and dignified treatment of Afghan nationals, countering claims of hostility. Speaking at an administrative council meeting, he stated, “Iran is not anti-Afghan—this narrative is part of psychological warfare by adversaries. For 47 years, we have welcomed Afghan citizens with honor.”
Security Achievements Amid 12-Day Conflict
Shamqadri highlighted Iran’s resilience during recent regional tensions, noting that the nation’s armed forces and public unity thwarted external aggression. “The 12-day conflict resulted in new strategic gains for Iran,” he said, crediting coordinated military defense and civilian support. Nineteen specialized meetings, including provincial security councils and drone defense committees, were held to reinforce crisis management.
Decentralized Crisis Management
Under the Law on Crisis Management, full authority was delegated to provinces like Khorasan Razavi from the onset of hostilities. Shamqadri stressed that unified command structures, clear role divisions, and a single spokesperson minimized foreign media interference, calling it “key to Khorasan Razavi’s operational success.”
Economic Stability During Conflict
Efforts to safeguard public welfare included stabilizing essential supplies—flour, bread, and fuel—with queues at fuel stations reduced by the third day. Shamqadri praised private sector and grassroots cooperation, stating, “Market regulation and public-private collaboration ensured livelihoods and calm were maintained.”
