Title: July 2024 Cash Subsidy Schedule Announced: Up to 650,000 Tomans for Eligible Families
Subsidy Payments and E-Coupons Disbursed in July
The second half of July 2024 will see the distribution of cash subsidies and electronic commodity coupons for eligible income groups in Iran.
E-Coupon Program for Low-Income Families
As part of the third phase of the electronic coupon (E-Coupon) initiative, eligible households in the first to third income deciles began receiving 500,000 Tomans in non-cash credits starting Saturday, July 7, 2024. These credits are exclusively redeemable for essential goods at selected stores and cannot be withdrawn as cash.
Cash Subsidy for First Three Deciles
Additionally, a 400,000-Toman cash subsidy will be deposited into the accounts of eligible household heads on Monday, July 25. Combined with the E-Coupon, recipients in these deciles will receive a total of 900,000 Tomans per person for July.
Mid-to-Lower Income Groups: 650,000 Tomans Total
Households in the fourth to seventh deciles will receive 350,000 Tomans in E-Coupons starting Sunday, July 17, followed by a 300,000-Toman cash subsidy on Wednesday, July 31. This brings their total July benefits to 650,000 Tomans per person.
Higher Income Groups: Limited Subsidies
The eighth and ninth deciles will only receive the 300,000-Toman cash subsidy on July 31 and are not eligible for E-Coupons. As in previous months, the tenth decile will not receive any subsidies—cash or non-cash.
Usage Restrictions for E-Coupons
The E-Coupon credits are activated exclusively through the household head’s bank card and can only be used to purchase essential items such as rice, oil, dairy products, eggs, pasta, poultry, and other necessities.
