Mazandaran Governor Pushes for Accelerated Marriage Loan Disbursement to Support Youth
In a strategic move to bolster national social policies, Mazandaran’s Governor, Mehdi Younesi Rostami, has formally requested the Central Bank of Iran to expedite the processing and increase the allocation of marriage loans for the province’s youth.
Aligning with National Strategic Goals
Governor Younesi Rostami’s correspondence with the Central Bank Chief, Mohammadreza Farzin, underscores the government’s unwavering commitment to its strategic policies of family support and youth empowerment. The governor emphasized the critical importance of financial facilities for marriage, childbearing, and housing, stating that necessary measures must be taken to streamline these processes. He articulated that these loans serve not only as a direct incentive for young couples to marry but also as a fundamental pillar for strengthening social capital and improving their living conditions.
Addressing the Current Backlog
Highlighting a pressing concern, Governor Younesi Rostami revealed that a significant backlog exists, with 17,528 applicants currently awaiting approval for marriage loans. To date, only 3,899 individuals have successfully received this vital financial support. This delay, he noted, is directly impacting the timelines and plans of young couples, potentially hindering their ability to start families.
Fostering a Sense of Governmental Support
The governor stressed that accelerating the loan disbursement is essential to ensure that the youth feel tangibly supported by the government and local officials. He framed marriage not merely as a pivotal personal milestone but as the very cornerstone of societal and economic development for any community.
A Call for Collaborative Action
Concluding his directive, Governor Younesi Rostami called for enhanced cooperation and synergy among all relevant institutions to effectively achieve these crucial social objectives. To pursue this matter with urgency, a coordinating council meeting involving provincial bank representatives and relevant authorities will be convened shortly. This meeting aims to thoroughly examine existing challenges and propose practical, actionable solutions to facilitate quicker payments and secure a larger quota of marriage loans for the aspiring youth of Mazandaran.
