Justice Shares: Second Dividend Payout for 2023 Imminent, Says Official
Tehran – The second tranche of dividends for the national “Justice Shares” scheme, pertaining to the fiscal year 2023, is scheduled for deposit within the next two to three weeks, a senior capital market official has announced. This move aligns with the new, more structured payment system implemented this year.
A New Timetable for Payments
The announcement clarifies the timeline for millions of citizens who are beneficiaries of the shares. The new multi-phase payment system, enacted by the Supreme Council of the Stock Exchange, replaces the previous method of a single annual lump-sum payment. This strategic shift is designed to enhance efficiency, reduce delays, and introduce greater regularity into the distribution process, ensuring beneficiaries receive their dues in a more predictable manner.
Addressing the Process
Last week, Mehdi Hajivand, Special Assistant to the Head of the Securities and Exchange Organization on Justice Shares affairs, provided context for the schedule. He explained that the disbursement of the second phase was contingent upon all contributing companies finalizing their dividend transfers. Following the complete receipt of these funds, the Supreme Council of the Stock Exchange is tasked with announcing the precise deposit date, a step that is now nearing completion.
What Beneficiaries Can Expect
The first installment of the 2023 dividends was successfully distributed in February 2024. Recipients of the 492,000-Toman share package received approximately 744,000 Tomans, while those holding the one-million-Toman package received over 1.5 million Tomans. Officials have indicated that the amount for this second phase will be of a comparable value and will be deposited directly into the shareholders’ registered bank accounts.
This systematic approach underscores the government’s commitment to managing the pivotal social equity program with increased transparency and operational discipline, directly contributing to the economic empowerment of its citizens.
