Fourth Phase of Electronic Subsidy Scheme: Payment Schedule and Details Announced
TEHRAN – The Government Spokesman has officially announced the commencement of the fourth phase of the electronic commodity subsidy scheme, a significant social support initiative. The rollout began on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, for the first three income deciles, with payments for the fourth to seventh deciles scheduled to start on Saturday, September 20, 2025.
Staggered Payment Schedule for Broader Coverage
The program is designed to provide targeted support to over 60 million eligible citizens across the nation. The payment structure is as follows:
- Deciles 1 to 3: A credit of 500,000 Tomans was deposited starting September 10, 2025.
- Deciles 4 to 7: A credit of 350,000 Tomans will be deposited starting September 20, 2025.
All allocated credits are exclusively for the purchase of 11 essential household goods and must be used by the end of the Iranian month of Aban (November 21, 2025).
Comprehensive Funding and Strategic Objectives
The substantial financial resources required for this phase of the scheme, approximately 27 trillion Tomans, have been successfully allocated and transferred to the executive body’s account by the Plan and Budget Organization and the Subsidy Targeting Organization. This underscores the government’s commitment to ensuring the program’s continuity and effectiveness.
The primary objective of this initiative is to mitigate inflationary pressures on essential goods and directly enhance the livelihood and welfare of eligible households, ensuring stability and support for citizens.
Eligible Goods and Flexible Redemption
The subsidy credit is designated for the purchase of essential items within three main categories: dairy products, protein sources, and groceries. The specific list of 11 goods includes rice, oil, sugar, meat, chicken, eggs, milk, pasta, tea, sugar cubes, and pulses.
Eligible citizens can redeem their credit at over 250,000 contracted retail stores across the country. The system allows for flexible spending, meaning the full credit does not need to be used in a single transaction, providing convenience for families.
Official Channels for Information and Fraud Awareness
Citizens are advised to use only official government channels to check their account status and remaining balance. These include the “Shoma” (You) application, the #146350 system, and the responsive support center at 021-6369.
A critical official warning has been issued regarding fraudulent text messages. Citizens are urged to be vigilant and aware that legitimate messages concerning the “Commodity Subsidy Credit” will never contain any links. The public is advised to disregard any messages with links to prevent falling victim to phishing scams.
This phased and well-structured rollout reflects a continued commitment to organized social support, ensuring that essential aid reaches citizens in a timely and secure manner.
