Title: New Interest-Free Medical Loan Announced for Armed Forces Pensioners
In a significant move to support its veterans, the Armed Forces Pension Organization has unveiled a comprehensive, interest-free medical loan designed to alleviate the financial burden of specialized healthcare treatments.
Expanded Coverage for Critical Treatments
The newly announced loan program covers a wide range of critical medical expenses for pensioners, their spouses, and dependent children. Eligible costs include major procedures such as kidney transplants, bone marrow transplants, and cochlear implants for individuals over five years old. It also covers outpatient services like genetic testing, bone grafts, essential medical equipment, specialized pharmaceuticals, and other hospital-related expenses approved by the Armed Forces Social Security Organization.
Financial Parameters and Eligibility
To qualify for the loan, the outstanding, unpaid medical bill must exceed 5 million Tomans. The maximum loan amount is set at 30 million Tomans, with the final sum to be determined by the central headquarters of the pension organization (SABA) based on the specific case. In situations where a pensioner requires funds in advance for medical equipment or a hospital deposit, they can apply by submitting a pro-forma invoice and a doctor’s order for pre-approval.
Streamlined Access and National Support
This initiative is part of a broader framework of social welfare and support for the dedicated veterans of the nation. Eligible pensioners can apply directly through their local Armed Forces Pension Office. The program underscores a continued commitment to the well-being of retired military personnel and their families, ensuring they receive necessary medical care without facing undue financial hardship.
