New Digital Procedure for Dependents
The Insurance Deputy of the Social Security Organization has announced that all pensioners and survivors must complete a “Letter of Undertaking” for their eligible daughters and granddaughters. The deadline for this action is set for October 6, 2024. Beneficiaries are required to complete the process through the organization’s non-attendance service portal at es.tamin.ir by navigating to the relevant section for pensioners and survivors.
The same portal also provides an option for households to enroll in the “Iranian Family Comprehensive Insurance” plan, which extends coverage to homemakers and young women.
Clarification on Child Benefit Payments
Addressing reports that a child benefit supplement had been removed for some survivors, the Managing Director of Tehran Provincial Counties clarified that the payment has not been eliminated. He confirmed that the benefits are currently under review and will be deposited into the accounts of eligible retirees and survivors in the coming days.
The organization issued a formal statement explaining that recent systemic updates and intelligent data cross-referencing with other official bodies have led to an automated adjustment. This process has temporarily paused the child benefit for survivors’ children who are over 18 years of age. The core pensions for retirees, disabled individuals, and the majority of survivors remain entirely unchanged.
