Rewritten Title: Iran’s Justice Share Dividend Disbursement Reaches Millions, Heirs’ Process Clarified
Article:
In a significant move concerning Iran’s widespread “Justice Shares” program, authorities have announced the successful disbursement of dividends to millions of citizens, while also outlining the specific procedure for heirs of deceased beneficiaries to claim their entitlements.
Major Dividend Payout Executed
Reza Noohi, a senior official at the Central Securities Depository of Iran (CSDI), announced that the company has executed a second round of dividend payments from the Justice Shares portfolio. Acting upon a directive from the Supreme Council of the Stock Exchange, the CSDI transferred the accrued profits from recent years into the accounts of over 44 million shareholders.
Procedure for Heirs of Deceased Beneficiaries
A key clarification was provided for the heirs of beneficiaries who passed away after July 2020. Mr. Noohi stated that the transfer of both the principal shares and their accrued dividends to these heirs is contingent upon the completion of their information in the National Tax Administration’s system. Once this registration is finalized, the funds will be disbursed in subsequent payment phases.
Substantial Financial Allocation for 2022 Profits
Detailing the financial scale of the operation, another CSDI official, Valliollah Jafari, explained that the total profit generated in the Persian year 1402 (2022-2023) by the companies within the Justice Shares portfolio was approximately 86 trillion tomans. Following extensive coordination, a segment of this profit, nearly 34 trillion tomans, was transferred to shareholders in February 2024. Jafari further confirmed that the remaining balance, amounting to about 42 trillion tomans, is scheduled for distribution by the end of the current week.
Estimated Payouts for Shareholders
The official also specified that the full dividend is being allocated to the two main shareholder groups: those holding one-million-toman shares and those with 532,000-toman shares. The estimated payout for each eligible individual is between 800,000 and one million tomans, with final calculations to be completed imminently.
Addressing Previous Payment Cycles
For individuals who have not yet received dividends from previous payment cycles, Jafari directed them to the “SEJAM” system, the official portal of the CSDI. By completing and updating their personal and banking information on this platform, beneficiaries can ensure the consolidated payout of all their outstanding dividends in a single transfer.
This systematic distribution of dividends underscores the ongoing management of the Justice Shares initiative, a program designed to foster broader public participation in the nation’s economy.
