Investigating Potential Sources
A comprehensive report from the General Inspection Office was reviewed, alongside past actions taken by specialized departments and the Tehran Provincial Office. Potential sources of the odor were examined, including:
- The Aradkouh waste disposal site
- Nearby livestock farming complexes, such as the Fashafuyeh agricultural hub
- The condition of wastewater and treatment facilities in Islamshahr
Field inspections and monitoring efforts by specialized offices were also presented during the meeting.
Commitment to Continued Oversight
The Deputy of Human Environment emphasized the importance of active participation in next week’s government infrastructure commission meeting, stressing the need for sustained efforts until a resolution is achieved.
To ensure accountability, the head of the Office for Environmental Protection of Water and Soil will oversee the matter, providing regular updates to government commissions and submitting monthly progress reports to the Human Environment Deputy Council.
