Title: A Week of Financial Inflows: Key Payments Scheduled for Retirees
Introduction
In a significant financial development this week, retirees across Iran are set to receive a series of scheduled payments. These disbursements, which include monthly pensions, cash subsidies, and the clearance of outstanding dues, are part of the government’s structured payment calendar for the current month.
Clearing Outstanding Dues
The Social Security Organization has announced the third phase of payments to settle pension adjustments and annual pay increases owed to retirees since the beginning of the current Iranian year. This round specifically targets retirees whose outstanding balances exceed 20 million Tomans. The organization confirmed that the process for these remaining beneficiaries began gradually on Monday and will continue, with the aim of completing the transfers by the end of the month.
October Subsidy Schedule
The payment schedule for the national cash subsidy for the month of October has been officially outlined:
- For the first to third income deciles: A payment of 400,000 Tomans, starting from October 16.
- For the fourth to ninth income deciles: A payment of 300,000 Tomans, scheduled for October 21.
Monthly Pension Disbursements
The payment of the basic October pension for all retirees is also scheduled for the final days of the month, adhering to the established routine:
- State Retirees: Pensions will be deposited on October 19 and 20.
- Military Retirees: Pensions are scheduled for deposit on October 20.
- Social Security Retirees: Pensions will be centrally deposited from October 18 to 20, following an alphabetical order.
Government Backing for Social Security
In a related high-level decision, the Supreme Council for Economic Coordination of the Heads of the Branches approved a major measure to address government obligations to the Social Security Organization. The approved plan involves allocating 185 trillion Tomans to the organization, comprising 70 trillion Tomans in Islamic financial bonds and 115 trillion Tomans in shares and assets. This initiative is designed to bolster the organization’s financial resources, enabling it to meet its commitments, including payments to contracted medical centers.
