Title: Iran’s Mehr 1404 Subsidy Schedule: A Guide for Households
Tehran – The Iranian government’s comprehensive social support system continues its scheduled disbursements for the month of Mehr 1404, with a clear calendar for cash subsidies and a reminder for households to utilize their existing electronic food subsidy credits.
Cash Subsidy Disbursement in Two Tiers
According to official announcements, the cash subsidy for Mehr will be deposited exclusively into the accounts of household heads. The payments will be executed in two installments, differentiated by income deciles to ensure targeted support.
- Households in the first to third income deciles will receive a 400,000 Tomans payment on the 25th of Mehr.
- Households in the fourth to ninth income deciles are scheduled to receive 300,000 Tomans on the 30th of Mehr.
Utilizing the Electronic Food Subsidy Credit
In parallel with the cash payments, officials have clarified the status of the Electronic Food Subsidy Plan. Marjan Dabiri, the plan’s spokesperson, confirmed that there will be no new phase of the electronic coupon scheme launched in Mehr. Instead, she urged eligible families to use the credits already allocated to them from the plan’s fourth phase.
Households in the first to seventh income deciles have until the end of the month of Aban 1404 to utilize their credit for the purchase of 12 essential food items. These include rice, oil, red meat, chicken, dairy products, pasta, legumes, eggs, sugar, and tea. It was also announced that turkey meat has recently been added to the list of eligible commodities.
The fourth phase of the subsidy plan was previously rolled out in two stages, with the first to third deciles receiving a 500,000 Tomans credit on the 19th of Shahrivar, and the fourth to seventh deciles receiving a 350,000 Tomans credit on the 29th of Shahrivar.
This structured approach separates the immediate cash support from the dedicated food subsidy program, allowing for efficient management and utilization of state-provided assistance for essential household needs.
