Rewritten Title: Iran’s Social Security Organization Deposits 10 Million Toman Marriage Grant for Eligible Couples
Article:
In a move to support young couples at the start of their marital life, the Social Security Organization of Iran has begun processing its annual marriage grant, with a minimum payment of 10 million and 390 thousand tomans being deposited into the accounts of eligible individuals.
A Financial Boost for Newlyweds
This initiative is a key part of the organization’s social welfare programs, specifically designed to alleviate the financial burdens associated with marriage and to strengthen the economic foundation of young families. Officials have emphasized that receiving this grant does not affect any of the recipient’s other social security benefits or pensions.
Who is Eligible for the Grant?
To qualify for the marriage grant, applicants must meet specific criteria set by the Social Security Organization:
- Active Social Security Coverage: At least one spouse must be a principal, voluntary, or pensioner beneficiary of the Social Security Organization at the time of marriage.
- Officially Registered Marriage: The marriage must be formally registered with the state, with a corresponding marriage certificate number. Informal marriages are not eligible.
- First-Time Marriage: The grant is a one-time benefit paid to an individual only once in their lifetime.
- Special Cases: In certain circumstances and at the discretion of the organization, subsequent marriages may be considered.
Calculating the Grant Amount
The exact value of the grant is not a flat sum for all. It is calculated based on the applicant’s average monthly insurable earnings over the 24 months preceding the marriage date. However, a key provision ensures that no one receives less than the official minimum wage for the year. For the current Iranian year (1404), this guarantee sets the minimum grant amount at 10,390,000 tomans.
Application Process Made Simple
The entire application process has been streamlined for efficiency and can be completed online. Eligible individuals can apply through the Social Security Organization’s electronic services portal (eservices.tamin.ir). The required steps include logging into the system, selecting the “Short-Term Supports” section, and submitting the completed application form along with the necessary documentation, such as copies of the national ID, the official marriage certificate, and the insurance treatment booklet.
Upon verification and approval by the organization, the marriage grant is directly deposited into the bank account provided by the applicant, providing timely financial support for new households across the nation.
