Tragic Vehicle Plunge in Eastern Iran Claims One Life, Injures Nineteen
A Devastating Incident
A passenger van accident in eastern Iran resulted in one fatality and multiple injuries on Saturday. The vehicle tragically plunged into a ravine in the village of Ferezi, located in the Golbahar county.
Emergency Response and Casualties
According to Mohammad Alishahi, a public relations manager with the Medical Emergencies Center of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, the accident involved 20 individuals—13 men and 7 women. He confirmed that a 35-year-old woman lost her life at the scene. The emergency services received the distress call at 4:04 PM local time, prompting an immediate dispatch of aid and ambulances.
Ongoing Medical Care
All 19 injured passengers were promptly transferred to medical facilities for treatment. They were admitted to several hospitals, including the Velayat and Taleghani hospitals in Mashhad, as well as the Chenaran hospital. Officials have reported that, as of now, none of the injured have been discharged, underscoring the seriousness of their conditions as they continue to receive necessary medical attention.
