Mohammad Mehdi Farvardin, the head of the Parliamentary Sports Committee, reported on a meeting held with the Minister of Sports. Following an assessment of the capital’s stadiums, a joint decision was made to host Esteghlal’s Week 12 derby match at Pars Stadium in the city of Shiraz.

Farvardin further elaborated that discussions were also held with the Head of the Football Federation and the Head of the League Organization. He confirmed that both officials welcomed and supported the decision to hold the major sporting event in Shiraz, highlighting a unified approach to facilitating the league’s schedule.

The committee head also announced that the meeting addressed the issue of the three-point deduction from the Shiraz-based football club, Fajr Sepasi. Farvardin stated that the Minister of Sports and the Head of the Football Federation gave positive assurances to re-instate the points, which were described as having been unfairly deducted from the historic and popular team.
