Title: New Welfare Initiatives Announced to Enhance Support for Iran’s Educators
In a significant move to bolster the welfare of state employees, new and comprehensive support packages have been unveiled for the nation’s educators. The announcement was made by Masoud Shokouhi, Chairman of the Teachers’ Reserve Fund Board of Directors, during a joint meeting with deputies from the Ministry of Education and provincial managers across the country.
A Focus on Enhanced Livelihoods
Chairman Shokouhi detailed that the fund’s current focus is on providing increased welfare services. To this end, a “Committee for the Welfare and Dignity of Educators” has been established under the board’s supervision to systematically follow up on all related matters.
Key Benefits for Active and Retired Educators
The newly launched initiatives encompass a wide range of benefits designed to improve the quality of life for educators. Key programs include:
- Substantial Vehicle Discounts: A scheme has been launched to provide vehicles to retired educators at a 50% discount off the official price. The initial phase will allocate 5,000 vehicles, with the process notably simplified, requiring no account freezes or complex financial conditions.
- Recreational and Investment Opportunities: The fund will organize fully-subsidized cultural and recreational tours across various provinces for educators, including stays in four-star hotels with all meal costs covered. Furthermore, a collaboration with reputable national investment funds will guarantee a minimum 35% return on savings deposits for educators.
- Housing Project Partnerships: In cooperation with the Ministry of Roads and provincial education councils, projects for land allocation and housing construction for retired educators are actively underway. The responsibility for executing these vital projects has been delegated to provincial managers.
Expanding a Successful Insurance Model
Shokouhi also highlighted the successful performance of the “Teacher’s Insurance” program last year. He stated that this insurance will be developed as the primary choice for educators nationwide, with diverse plans in place to ensure maximum attraction and satisfaction.
A Long-Term Vision for a Key Sector
In his concluding remarks, the Chairman emphasized that the ultimate goal of the Teachers’ Reserve Fund is to create a sustainable structure for welfare and livelihood services, thereby enhancing the stature of this key segment within the national educational system. He affirmed that all these initiatives will be implemented in full coordination with the Ministry of Education and its subsidiary companies to ensure educators achieve a desirable level of satisfaction.
