In a significant move to address pensioner welfare, it has been confirmed that retirees under Iran’s Social Security system will begin receiving a retroactive payment for an April salary increase, starting September 15.
Prioritized Payments for Vulnerable Retirees
The disbursement process will prioritize the most vulnerable groups. Payments will commence on Saturday, September 15, with minimum-wage earners and disabled retirees being the first to receive their adjusted benefits. Other pensioner tiers are scheduled to receive their back pay within the following two weeks.
Financial Impact and Long-Awaited Relief
According to estimates from relevant sources, the retroactive payment for the April adjustment is projected to be a substantial sum. This long-awaited disbursement, which has been delayed for approximately five months, will be transferred concurrently with the regular September pension payment.
Transparency in the Process
To ensure transparency and allow retirees to review the details of their payment, the updated pay slips will be uploaded to the “Tamin Man” online portal prior to the funds being deposited into their accounts.
Schedule for Regular September Pensions
In related news, the schedule for the standard September pension has also been announced. Social Security retirees will receive their payments between September 19-21, while state and military retirees are scheduled for payments on September 20 and 21, respectively. Minor adjustments of one to two days to this schedule may occur due to administrative procedures.
