Rewritten Title: Iran Announces Official Registration Phase for Hajj 1446 Pilgrimage
Article:
Iran has officially launched the final registration phase for citizens intending to perform the Hajj pilgrimage in the upcoming year. The announcement, detailing the logistical and administrative procedures, marks a significant step in the national planning for this major religious event.
Final Registration Now Open
According to Ali Reza Rashidian, the head of Iran’s Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, all individuals who successfully completed the initial pre-registration based on provincial quotas can now proceed to the final stage. Pilgrims are directed to the “My Hajj” online portal at my.haj.ir to select their preferred travel group, known as a “Caravan,” and complete the necessary paperwork. The platform will also display the various available price packages for pilgrims to consider.
Streamlined Pilgrimage Journey
In a move aimed at enhancing the pilgrim experience, officials have planned for a shorter overall travel duration compared to the previous year. Rashidian emphasized that while this is a key objective, its final implementation is contingent upon flight capacities and the scheduling provided by the host country.
Priority Registration and Increased Capacity
The official highlighted a priority system for early registrants. Individuals who completed their pre-registration within the first ten days of the initial announcement are given precedence for the final sign-up. This group will have access to select from a wider range of Caravans, including those designated for couples, which have seen their capacity nearly doubled this year.
A Crucial Choice for Pilgrims
Prospective pilgrims traveling in groups were advised to coordinate carefully. Rashidian stressed the importance of all members selecting the same Caravan during the online registration, as changes or transfers after this selection will not be possible.
Finalizing Documents and Accommodations
The head of the Hajj Organization also urged pilgrims to swiftly complete their required documentation, including valid passports, and to settle any outstanding balance payments. He confirmed that all contracts related to accommodation and services for the pilgrimage have been finalized. This year, 57 hotels in Mecca and 17 hotels in Medina have been equipped for the pilgrims. He noted, however, that accommodation limitations in Medina persist due to a lack of new construction in the city.
