Title: Landmark Financial Package Approved to Settle Pension Obligations, Payment Schedule Announced
In a significant move to address financial obligations, a major economic coordination body has approved a comprehensive plan to settle dues owed by the government to the Social Security Organization.
A Major Step Forward
The Supreme Council for Economic Coordination of the Heads of Branches has ratified a resolution to allocate 185 quadrillion tomans to the Social Security Organization. This substantial financial package is designed to be executed through a combination of 70 quadrillion tomans in Islamic financial bonds and 115 quadrillion tomans in stocks and assets.
Implementation and Fund Disbursement
Following the official notification of this resolution and the allocation of credit, the process of issuing the approved bonds and converting them into liquid assets will commence. This multi-stage process will pave the way for the payment of outstanding dues to contracted academic and non-academic medical centers, as well as for supplementary medical insurance, using the newly liquidated funds.
Clear Timeline for Pension Payments
In a related development, the Social Security Organization has announced a concrete schedule for paying delayed pension adjustments and annual salary increases. Starting Monday, October 13th, the process for distributing these funds to the remaining eligible retirees and pensioners will begin gradually and continuously through agent banks.
The organization clarified that the first phase of these payments was completed on September 2nd for all retirees with a total income of up to 20 million tomans, as well as for all disabled pensioners. The second phase was then executed for all survivor pensioners concurrently with their September pension payments.
