Title: Iran’s Social Security Organization Advances Pension Payments, Implements Systemic Reforms
Tehran – The Social Security Organization is continuing the systematic disbursement of monthly pensions for the month of Mehr across Iran, with payments currently being processed for retirees alphabetically from the letter “Sad” onward in Tehran and other provinces.
Ongoing Disbursements and Back-Pay Schedule
The payment process is ongoing and is expected to continue throughout the day. According to the organization’s schedule, the distribution of outstanding payments from the month of Farvardin for the remaining beneficiaries, specifically those with amounts above 20 million tomans, has been rescheduled for next week.
In a significant development for a group of retirees, this month’s payment will include not only their regular Mehr pension but also an adjustment payment for differences owed from Farvardin 1404. This additional sum, estimated to be between 4 to 5 million tomans, will result in a substantially higher total payment for this group by the end of the month.
Commitment to Comprehensive Payment Fulfillment
Officials from the Social Security Organization have confirmed that the payment of arrears for retirees who receive their pensions through banks other than Bank Refah has been fully completed. Furthermore, approximately 20 percent of the payments processed through Bank Refah have already been settled.
It was also announced that survivors, individuals with disabilities, and other pensioners receiving less than 20 million tomans had previously received their full arrears. Payments for remaining beneficiaries continue daily and are projected to be finalized within the next seven days. Upon completion of this phase, the implementation of the 1404 pension adjustment plan will be fully concluded.
Administrative Reforms and Enhanced Service Delivery
Concurrent with the payment operations, senior officials are emphasizing administrative reforms and improved service delivery. Keyvan Mortezaei, the Managing Director of the Gilan Province Social Security Organization, recently led a supervisory visit to the Talesh branch. During the visit, he stressed the importance of streamlining processes, honoring the insured, and accelerating service provision.
Mortezaei underscored that retirees, the insured, and employers are social partners and the true owners of the system, whose concerns must be heard and addressed. He highlighted that managerial changes are a strategic approach to foster transformation, enhance system efficiency, and utilize the capacity of specialized personnel.
Provincial Performance Recognized
In a testament to the organization’s drive for excellence, the Alborz Province Social Security Directorate was recently ranked third in the nation in a comprehensive three-month performance evaluation of provincial offices. With a score of 96.04 out of 100, Alborz secured its position among the top three provinces, following Ilam in first place and Zanjan in second.
Davoud Sadzadeh, the Managing Director of Alborz Province’s Social Security, attributed this achievement to the province’s coordinated programs, consistent field supervision, and the continuous improvement of executive processes. The evaluation was based on performance indicators across nine specialized areas, including the realization of collection targets, control of long-term liabilities, and the enhancement of non-attendance services.
This integrated approach, combining efficient financial disbursement with structural reforms, demonstrates the Social Security Organization’s ongoing commitment to serving Iran’s retiree community and strengthening the national social welfare system.
