Tehran – The beloved and nostalgic series, The Legend of Jumong, is set to make a grand return to television. The Tamasha network has officially announced the re-broadcast of this acclaimed South Korean series, beginning on August 6, 2025. It will replace the historical drama Ruler: Master of the Mask in the network’s prime-time evening slot.

In Iran, the series achieved widespread popularity through its Persian dubbing and has become a lasting piece of television nostalgia for a generation of viewers. Initially planned for a 60-episode run, the unprecedented audience demand led South Korea’s MBC network to significantly extend the production. The final series concluded after an extensive 81 episodes, allowing for a more thorough and immersive telling of its foundational historical narrative.
