Title: New Digital Initiatives Ease Traffic Fine Process, Enhance Citizen Services
In a move to modernize public services and strengthen citizen engagement, the Traffic Police of the Islamic Republic of Iran has announced a suite of new digital services. The initiatives, launched to coincide with Police Week, are designed to streamline administrative processes and provide greater convenience to the public.
A New Era for Traffic Violation Appeals
Colonel Jalil Jamshidi Rad, head of the Traffic Police’s Executive Affairs, announced that for the first time, citizens can now formally contest their traffic fines through an online portal. This new digital service allows individuals to submit and process their appeals entirely over the internet, eliminating the need for in-person visits and simplifying a previously cumbersome procedure.
Financial Relief for Easier Compliance
In a significant gesture of goodwill during Police Week, the Traffic Police is offering a waiver on late payment fees for outstanding traffic fines. This temporary measure provides a more manageable financial pathway for citizens to settle their fines, encouraging timely compliance and reducing financial burdens.
Streamlined Vehicle Release Process
A third service focuses on the temporary release of impounded vehicles. Colonel Jamshidi Rad confirmed that vehicles held under specific legal provisions will now be processed for temporary release with special facilities, expediting their return to owners under regulated conditions.
These special services will be available throughout Police Week. Citizens are encouraged to utilize the official Traffic Police online platforms to access these new conveniences.
Colonel Jamshidi Rad emphasized that the core objective of these measures is to enhance the quality of services provided to the public and to facilitate executive affairs. He stated that such steps are crucial for fostering public satisfaction and cooperation, which are fundamental to maintaining traffic order and security across the nation.
