Iran Launches Advanced Employment Platform to Empower Vulnerable Citizens
In a significant step towards social justice and economic inclusion, Iran’s State Welfare Organization has officially launched a new, comprehensive Employment Service System. The platform is designed to streamline job placement and support services for its beneficiaries and individuals with special needs.
A Strategic Step Towards Empowerment
Arzou Zakaifar, Head of the Entrepreneurship, Employment, and Empowerment Development Center at the Welfare Organization, outlined the system’s core mission. “The launch of this employment system is a fundamental step in creating transparency, social justice, and equal access to job opportunities,” Zakaifar stated. She emphasized that the system aligns with the organization’s mandate to empower vulnerable segments of society.
The platform is more than a simple job board; it is a strategic tool for national development. By creating a comprehensive database of beneficiaries’ skills and capabilities, it aims to foster synergy between executive bodies and employers. This initiative is expected to boost productivity, reduce dependency on state support, and help individuals achieve economic independence.
How the System Works
The new digital service is structured in two main parts:
- Assessment: Social workers register identity details, employment status, and other relevant data for job seekers. This information is used to determine a suitable career path for each individual.
- Service Provision: This section manages the entire employment service process, from initial request to the final registration of services provided, all handled by dedicated employment specialists.
Phased Rollout and AI Integration
The first phase of the system, which involved design, implementation, and training for social workers and provincial experts, is now complete. The organization is currently actively monitoring the cases of beneficiaries aged 18 to 65.
The second phase, which involves the active provision and registration of employment services through the platform, was activated at the start of the current Iranian year (March 2024). A key feature of the system is its use of artificial intelligence to aid in decision-making and help ensure job sustainability for placed individuals.
“The career path of beneficiaries, from the initial stages of identification and interest assessment to the evaluation of basic and professional skills, is precisely recorded and monitored in the system,” Zakaifar explained.
Ambitious Targets for National Impact
The rollout is already progressing at scale. Zakaifar confirmed that data from approximately 900,000 monitored cases has already been uploaded to the system. Based on established targets, the organization plans to register information for 1.5 million individuals by the end of the current Iranian year.
This large-scale digital transformation is poised to play a crucial role in realizing national employment and poverty-alleviation policies, marking a significant advancement in Iran’s social welfare infrastructure.
