Ethics Committee Summons Persepolis Officials Over Derogatory Social Media Post
Tehran – The Ethics Committee of the Football Federation has launched a formal inquiry following a controversial post from the official social media account of Persepolis Football Club, which contained disrespectful material concerning rival club Esteghlal.
Summons for Clarification
In response to the incident, which sparked significant media attention, the committee has called upon key Persepolis officials to provide a full account of the events. Those summoned include the club’s CEO, Peyman Haddadi, the Head of the Fans’ Association, Abbas Ismail-Beigi, and the club’s Media Manager, Mohsen Shahmoradi.
A Firm Stance on Conduct
The Ethics Committee has reiterated its firm policy that any behavior or published content deemed unethical, insulting, or contrary to the principles of mutual respect between sports institutions will be subject to serious and immediate investigation. This move underscores the federation’s commitment to maintaining professional decorum and sportsmanship within Iranian football.
