Extended Deadline Announced for Registration on Imported Vehicle Platform
Tehran – The deadline for opening a dedicated power-of-attorney bank account to participate in the government’s imported vehicle supply scheme has been officially extended. The initiative, which began on Tuesday, November 25, 2024, aims to facilitate a structured and regulated process for vehicle imports.
New Registration Window
According to an official announcement from the Integrated System for the Sale of Imported Cars (salecars.ir), the initial deadline for opening the account, which was set for Sunday, November 30, has been extended. Eligible applicants now have until 14:00 on Monday, December 1, 2024, to complete this crucial first step.
Financial Requirements and Procedure
As outlined in the published directive, interested participants must designate one of their accounts at a qualified bank under the power-of-attorney title “Integrated System for the Supply of Imported Cars.” A sum of 500 million Tomans must be blocked in this designated account to validate the registration.
The platform has issued a strict warning, clarifying that accounts registered under any other title will not be eligible for participation, and the system will not bear any responsibility for such discrepancies.
Further Extension for Application Submission
In a related development, the subsequent phase of the process has also seen an extension. The period for final registration and selection of vehicle preferences, previously set to conclude on December 2, has been prolonged until December 5, 2024.
During this window, applicants who are on the pre-approved list and have completed the banking step are permitted to access the salecars.ir platform to finalize their registration and select their two preferred vehicle choices. This measure is designed to ensure all qualified citizens have ample opportunity to partake in this official scheme.
