Final Payout Set for October 2025: Social Security Pension & Salary Details Finalized
Tehran – A definitive timeline has been announced for the final phase of pension adjustments, marking a significant step in the ongoing implementation of Iran’s pension harmonization plan.
Official Deadline Announced
The Director-General of Kermanshah’s Social Security Organization has confirmed that the third and final phase of pension arrears, covering retroactive payments from the start of the current Persian year up to October 6, 2025, is scheduled for disbursement. This move finalizes a key component of the government’s broader “Pension Harmonization Plan,” a policy designed to standardize and adjust pension benefits.
Progress and Pending Payments
To date, the plan has seen substantial success. The vast majority of retirees and disability pensioners receiving monthly payments of up to 20 million Tomans have had their arrears fully settled in the first two phases of the rollout.
However, two specific groups are still awaiting their payments:
- Retirees with pensions exceeding 20 million Tomans per month.
- Survivor pension beneficiaries, including spouses and dependents.
Officials have attributed the delay for these groups to liquidity management strategies, assuring that comprehensive planning is in place to clear all outstanding arrears by the mid-October deadline.
Payment Amounts and Schedule
While the exact amounts for higher-income retirees will be confirmed upon payment, previous phases have seen average payouts ranging between 3 to 5 million Tomans for beneficiaries. The upcoming payment will settle the remaining balances for all eligible individuals.
Concurrently, the regular pension payment for October 2025 is also scheduled for transfer between October 20-22, 2025, following an alphabetical order based on recipients’ last names to ensure systematic processing.
A Call for Official Channels
Despite the official announcement from provincial directors, the national Social Security Organization’s website has yet to publish a formal bulletin. This has led to some uncertainty among pensioners. Authorities are strongly encouraging beneficiaries to rely solely on official announcements from the Social Security Organization and its dedicated hotline (1420) for the most accurate and timely information, avoiding unverified sources.
The conclusion of this payment phase will represent the full implementation of this cycle of the pension harmonization policy, underscoring the government’s commitment to its social obligations. Retirees are advised to monitor official platforms for the final confirmation of the disbursement.
