Title: Government Spokesperson Clarifies Subsidy Eligibility, Affirms National ID as Sole Criterion
Article:
In a recent statement, a senior government official has provided crucial details regarding the distribution of state subsidies, firmly addressing public inquiries on the matter.
Official Clarification on Eligibility
Ali Ahmadiania, the Head of the Government Information Office, took to a social media platform to respond directly to questions about subsidy payments to foreign nationals. His statement was unequivocal: “We absolutely do not pay subsidies to foreign nationals.”
The Central Role of the National Identification Number
The official elaborated that the sole and mandatory criterion for receiving subsidies is possession of a valid National Identification Number issued by the country’s Civil Registration Organization.
“All individuals who have a valid national number have the possibility to receive subsidies based on the decile classification announced by the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labour, and Social Welfare,” Ahmadiania stated. He further emphasized that “individuals without an Iranian national number will by no means receive subsidies.”
This clarification reinforces the existing policy framework, underscoring that the subsidy system is designed for and accessible only to those officially registered with the state, effectively excluding foreign nationals from this specific government support program.
