Forensic Medicine Chief Addresses Speculation Surrounding Pejman Jamshidi Case
In a significant statement, the head of Iran’s Legal Medicine Organization has moved to clarify the official status of the high-profile case involving Pejman Jamshidi.
Official Position Stated
Dr. Abbas Masjedi, the President of the Legal Medicine Organization, has categorically stated that the case file concerning the alleged assault has not yet been formally referred to his institution. “The case of Pejman Jamshidi has not been referred to us, or I have no information about it,” Dr. Masjedi was quoted as saying.
A Warning Against Unofficial Claims
Emphasizing official channels, Dr. Masjedi issued a warning about misinformation. He noted that sometimes “irresponsible individuals” make statements and attribute them to the Legal Medicine Organization. He firmly established that any and all official news from the organization will be announced exclusively through its public relations department.
Procedure on Judicial Orders
Further clarifying the organization’s protocol, the chief explained that while some findings are made public, other medical and legal opinions are not disclosed openly. Such information is formally announced only when and if a presiding judge issues a direct order for its release, underscoring the organization’s adherence to the nation’s judicial process.
Regarding inquiries about whether the plaintiff in the case had visited the organization, Dr. Masjedi stated he was not informed of any such visit, leaving the official record on the matter unestablished.
